Stamvader van de Blootenburg-tak die te Woudenberg en omgeving bleef wonen. Andere takken vestigden zich in Amersfoort en den Bosch, waar ze bestuursfuncties bekleedden. Jacob koopt de hofstede "de Vicariënhof" te Leusbroek; hij krijgt daar 7 kinderen. Zijn zoon Adriaan blijft in Leusbroek wonen, maar overlijdt waarschijnlijk vrij kort na zijn huwelijk zonder nageslacht.
