In het trouwboek staat dat beide echtelieden al eerder gehuwd zijn geweest, en dat Peter van Aelst afkomstig is uit Tilburg of omgeving (wellicht Goirle). Zijn eerste vrouw heette Judith Wouters. In de archieven van Breda wordt in 1631 een meisje in de dooppboeken genoemd, Waultera (Woutertje), dochter van Petrus Ariansen en Judic Wouters. Dat zouden 'onze' Petrus en zijn eerste vrouw geweest kunnen zijn?
