Schepen van Strijen 1484/97. Pachter van visgronden, koper van korentienden te Strijen 1471/97. [Strijen had 14 schepenen, waarvan 7 plaatsvervangers. De regerende schepenen waren automatisch lid van de hoge vierschaar van het baljuwschap Strijen. Dit hoge rechtscollege sprak recht in strafzaken binnen het "Land van Strijen" (de Z.O. Hoeksewaard), waarin schout en schepenen der dorpen in de omtrek geen bevoegdheid meer hadden. Daarom werden de schepenen van Strijen door de landsregering benoemd, op voordracht van de baljuw (bron: M. Allewijn)] .
