Peter Heestermans werd te Goirle gedoopt 8 februari 1788 als
zoon van soldaat-dagloner Mathijs Heestermans en Maria van de
Laar.8 Bij de publieke verkoop van de onroerende goederen van
zijn ouders, welke plaatsvond op 17 november 1813, dus een jaar
voordat de lijst van vermisten werd opgesteld, werd Peter al niet
meer genoemd. Wel zijn broers Jan, landbouwer, Bernardus, wever,
en zijn zusters Cornelia en Pitronella, gehuwd met wever Hendrik
