ovl. 08.08.1086 in het Heilige Land, begraven in Munsterabdij Luxemburg, Graaf van Luxemburg 1083. Voogd van St. Maxim te Trier en van Stavelot (Stablo). Sticht 1083 de Munsterabdij te Luxemburg. Hij werd in de ban gedaan, toen hij aartsbisschop Eberhard op een visitatiereis in de omgeving van Wasserbillig overvallen, mishandeld en hem als gevangene meegevoerd had naar Luxemburg (waarschijnlijk 1059). Hij overlijdt op de terugreis van een hem door de paus opgelegde boete-bedevaart naar Jerusalem.
