Een leuk verschil tussen twee handtekeningen uit 1822 is dat er in de ene een tweede a staat. Blijkbaar ging Francis op de klank af(HAA-HA) en had hij niet het beeld van zijn naam in voor ogen. Maar in deze periode werden namen vaak ontdaan van klankonnodige toevoegsels.
