Dag heer J. Eijsermans,

Graag wil ik u het volgende vragen.

Heeft u meer gegevens over het gezin J.J. Withoos te Boxtel? Of kent u iemand die meer weet over deze familie.

De reden van mijn vraag is dat ik op zoek ben naar meer gegevens over mijn grootvader Hein de Bruijn tijdens de mobilisatie 1914-1918 te Boxtel.
Bekend is dat hij daar ingeschreven was in het bevolkingsregister van Boxtel.
Hij woonde daar (inkwartiering) met zijn gezin in wijk C198c, later wordt het huis genummerd als v Salmstraat 48. Het gezin van Hein woonde daar van 1917 – 1919. Man, vrouw, 3 kinderen.
Mijn vader Jan de Bruijn, zoon van Hein is daar zelfs geboren.
Er is ook een foto van het huis. Meet dank aan Christ van Eekelen.

Hein de Bruijn en de familie J.J. Withoos woonden allebei (en tegelijk) in huis C198c. Dat staat vast.

Dit alles ben ik te weten gekomen door een artikel in het Brabants Centrum van o.a. Christ van Eekelen, te Boxtel. Een serie artikelen over de 1e Wereldoorlog 1914-1918.
Laatst genoemde probeert ook nog meer te weten te komen over deze familie.

Jacobus Josephus Withoos is tweemaal getrouwd. Zijn eertse vrouw Henrica Bouw overleed in 1902.
Op 28 feb 1947 overleed Jacobus Josephus. (Hij werd 7 mei 1874 geboren, dus Koos werd 72 jaar oud).
De tweede vrouw (Gerdina vd Steen) overleed 15 sept 1951 in Oisterwijk ook op 73 jarige leeftijd.
