Notes about Mechelina Cornelia Maria van Erven

Ik heb aanvullingen, correcties of vragen met betrekking tot Hendrikus (Drik) van Erven https://www.genealogieonline.nl/en/I42639.php.

Hello,
I do not speak or write Dutch, so please excuse my correspondence in English. I have information that concerns Hendrikus van Erven, as my grandmother was in possession of his "Godvruchtig Aandenken". I believe this was her father, but I am unable to verify this. Her name was Mechelina Cornelia Maria van Erven. She was born 25 Sep 1907 in Goirle, and died 7 Jan 1997 in Vancouver, Canada. I would be grateful for any knowledge you might have about her. I know she was a nurse and went to Fort St. John, BC in 1932, as I have a photo of her there. Additionally, I believe she had a half-sister, we called her "Auntie Pat", who lived in Holland during the second war. She emigrated to Spokan, WA, USA.
Dear Jan,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, you are correct. Mechelina Cornelia Maria’s mother was Adriana Cornelia van Erven and her father was Cornelis Jacobus (Kees).

Mechelina went to Canada sometime in the early 1930s, as I have a picture of her in Fort St. John, BC, Canada in 1932. She must have been a nurse, as I also have a picture of her in a nurse’s uniform. She married Alan Philip Renwick in 1942 in Calgary, AB, Canada. They lived for many years in Vancouver, BC, Canada until Mechelina passed away in 1997.

Alan Philip Renwick was born 05 Aug 1908 in Fort MacLeod, AB, Canada. He died 10 Sept 2000 in Burlington, ON, Canada. He worked in the trades as a painter/decorator and carpenter.

Mechelina and Alan had one daughter, Adriana Catherine Renwick. She was born 26 Jul 1944 in Vancouver, BC, Canada and she died 19 Sept 2003 in Waterdown, ON, Canada. Adriana married Dennis Luverne Warren Nelson in Vancouver, BC, on 3 Mar 1962. They have two children, Michelle Sandra Nelson born 23 Mar 1967 and Warren Alan Nelson born 12 Jul 1971.

Do you have any photographs of the van Erven family? Also, Could you tell me more about Adriana Cornelia Van Erven’s second marriage and children? Finally, how is it that Adriana and Cornelis kept the van Erven name rather than using Kees?

Thank you for your help and let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,

Do you have supplementary information, corrections or questions with regards to Mechelina Cornelia Maria van Erven?
