Jan en Corrie hadden geen kinderen
Het is een bekend feit in Goirle dat de biologische vader van Jan van Erven niet Adrianus Arnoldus van Erven is maar diens werkgever Eduard van Puijenbroek.
Hij kon voor van alles een beroep doen op "Villa Anna" , zelfs voord een auto lenen. In die tijd was het aantal auto's in Goirle op een hand te tellen. Zijn vrouw werd het madammeke genoemd en was vroeg weduwe van hem. Zij ging daarna naar Best en had een nieuwe vriend/echtgenoot (?) maar kwam wel langs in Goirle. Volgens Jo Appels-Reijnen maakte zij dan wel eens kleding voor haar.
