"Ik moest volgens moeders planning non worden.
Moeder kon Gerard niet uitstaan. Hij beefde als hij haar zag.

Ik wist nergens van, dacht dat de kinderen uit de navel kwamen. Ik werd op de hoogte gebracht door nonkel Pater.
Moeder was zeer boos op Gerard
"Silvie ik kom nietb met jouw vrijen, maar met je dochter"
We hebben drie jaar gevrijd aan de voordeur, moeder naast mij op een bepaalde afstand.
Gerard had een huis gehuurd in de Ooststraat, aan de Royal, naast Lietje Kuypers, hij zou er en winkel houden.
Wij hadden alle twee een huis, Gerard's huis in de Rattestraat (250 fr)
Krekelstraat (aan het voetbal), huis pas opgeknapt - 100 fr -
Rap 6 maanden betalen.

Koffer in eiken hout (Gerard) van zijn drinkgeld gespaard
Mocht niet uitgaan - niets verteren.
18 jaar - moest wachten tot 21 j.
Gerard had 600 fr. drinkgeld opzijgelegd.

Gerard kwam zich melden bij mopeder Silvie. die was daar niet zo mee opgezegd en vroeg hem wat hij hier kwam doen omdat het nog geen zondag was.
Sylvie, zij hij, morgen moeten wij naar de pastoor, want het moet immers vlug gebeuren.
Sylvie kreeg alle kleuren.
Vader kwam terug van zijn werk en gaf geen commentaar.
's anderendaags toogden wij pastoorwaarts. Het was in de Paasweek, 16 april.

Koppel paarden met voiture.

Broer Gerard (Breemersch?) moest mee naar Brussel.

Ik vertrok op reis met 1 kleed (blauw), met een scheur erin, dichtgehouden met twee spelden. Geen ander kleed mee.
Bij vertrek kreeg ik van moeder niets mee met uitzondering van een mooi kanten schortje. Van vader kreeg ik 100 fr.
Achteraf kregen wij nog een koffiemolen en een koolbak met aardappelen.
Hij had nochtans gezegd: "Jij en robert zullen het best varen...", maar toen Robert nog voor mij trouwde kreeg hij 5000 fr. mee."
