Notes about Jan Baptist Hermanus "Jo" Eijsermans

Jan Baptist Hermanus (Jo) Hermans werd geboren te Boxtel (1914). Hij is met zijn ouders verhuisd naar Blerick (ergens tussen 1932 en het begin van de oorlog). Hij werkt in Blerick (administratief werk), volgt pianostudies en trouwt daar met Fien Bergh.
Ten gevolge van het bombardement door de gealliëerden (!) in 1944 komt een bijzonder tragisch einde aan deze situatie.
Hij verloor zijn vrouw, zijn twee kinderen, zijn vader en zijn zuster.
Er volgt een wat onduidelijke periode en in 1946 bevindt hij zich in Amsterdam, waar hij lid is van een dansorkest (Thea de Loor), aangezien hij een begaafd pianist is.
Daar leert hij zijn 2e vrouw (Monny Teunissen) kennen en trouwt op 10 oktober 1946 in Amsterdam. Kort daarna gaan zij naar Blerick en wonen enige tijd in bij Door Beekers (Blariacumstraat 10). In die periode wordt Joseph Franciscus Raymond (Jos) geboren (in het ziekenhuis te Venlo; 21 september 1947). Het gezin krijgt vervolgens een noodwoning toegewezen op het Lambertusplein 65 in Blerick. Daar wordt Raymond Marie (René) geboren (3 februari 1950). Jo is in die tijd pianist in een dansorkest (van Rhee), geeft pianolessen, dirigeert het amateurorkest Accordeolino uit Tegelen, speelt bij gelegenheid orgel in de kerk en begeleidt solisten waaronder de tenor Willy Caron uit Blerick . In de barre winter van 1962-1963 verhuist het gezin naar Baarlo (Hoogstraat 26) aangezien Jo gaat werken bij de Clubmeubelenfabriek Peeters te Baarlo (administratief werk).
De noodwoning werd na hun vertrek, als eerste, onmiddellijk gesloopt; de andere noodwoningen op het Lambertusplein volgden overigens snel daarna. De bewoning van deze noodwoningen, die in principe voor 5 jaar waren neergezet, heeft de gemeente Venlo dus beschamend veel langer toegestaan.
Vanuit Baarlo is Jos uit huis gegaan (1964); 12 jaar later René (1976). Jo is overleden in 1974 na een slepende ziekte.
Monny hertrouwde, met Thei Cuppen (1910-1989) en ging weer in Blerick wonen.
Enige tijd na het overlijden van Thei is ze gaan samenwonen met haar zwager Co van Eunen en zij woont nu in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
