Notes about Franciscus "Frans" Eijsermans

Franciscus was fabrieksarbeider als hij in Goirle op 21 mei 1900 trouwt met Wilhelmina van Gils en was rijksambtenaar als hij op 10 oktober 1910 op 38-jarige leeftijd hertrouwt met de 10 jaar oudere Elisabeth Sluimers.

Wilhelmina van Gils sterft in het kraambed bij de geboorte van haar 7de kind (Wilhelmina Eijsermans), dat naar haar genoemd is en maar 4 maanden oud is geworden.

Franciscus Eijsermans had alleen zeven kinderen uit zijn eerste huwelijk. Zijn tweede huwelijk bleef kinderloos.
Na de dood van zijn tweede vrouw (Elisabeth Sluimers) in 1939 bleef Franciscus nog ruim 15 jaar weduwnaar.

Zoals dat zo vaak het geval is boterde het kennelijk niet goed tussen de kinderen van zijn eerste vrouw en hun stiefmoeder.
Toen Frans in 1955 overleed stond er op zijn bidprentje dat hij weduwnaar was van Wilhelmina van Gils met wie hij maar zeven jaar gehuwd was geweest. Zijn tweede vrouw met wie hij bijna 30 jaar gehuwd was, werd niet genoemd.
