Maria Magdalena te Rijen de dienstbetrekking van koster aan voornoemde parochiekerk met alle daaraan verbonden bedieningen en werkzaamheden en deze stipt en getrouw te verrichten tegen de vergoeding vrije ambtswoning en de emolumenten door het kerkbestuur van voornoemde parochiekerk daarbij vastgesteld.
Bij 't nemen van ontslag minstens 6 weken voor de dienstbetrekking te verlaten het ontslag aan te vragen, zoals ook de pastoor voornoemd de termijn van zes weken zal inachtnemen bij 't verlenen van eervol ontslag".

Opmerking:
Het door de pastoor met de hand geschreven stuk is ongedateerd en alleen door A.J.C. Dooremalen ondertekend en dus niet door de pastoor.
De koster kreeg geen loon in geld, hetgeen in die tijd niet ongebruikelijk was. Het werk van koster was op zich geen volle dagtaak en kosters verdienden geld door andere werkzaamheden, zoals het regelen van begrafenissen en andere soorten van dienstverlening.
