    Na een arbeidzaam leven, vol goede zorgen voor de zijnen is plotseling van ons heengegaan: Antoon Stoffels.
    Dit leven was helemaal geleefd. Negenentachtig jaar is hij geworden. Het is de leeftijd van de heel sterken.
    Een leven van noeste arbeid en van doorzetten. Van wilskracht en van volhouden. Daardoor heeft hij ook veel bereikt. De bakkerszaak op de Dommelseweg - overgegaan op het derde geslacht - is zijn werk en zijn inzet geweest dank zij zijn taai doorzetten en hard werken. De trekken van zijn gezicht droegen de sporen van zijn wilskracht.
    Na het overlijden van zijn eerste vrouw kwamen er enkele moeilijke jaren. Op vijfenzeventig jarige leeftijd hertrouwde hij met Mien Hoevenaars-Vermulst. Ze hebben samen veertien mooie en gelukkige jaren gehad. "Hi had een goed hart en was goed van aard"aldus het getuigenis van zijn tweede vrouw.
