Johannes Cornelis de Brouwer heeft in de textielindustrie van Tilburg gewerkt bij de fa. Pollet. Ondanks zijn toch zeker niet riante salaris heeft hij in 1904 in de Tuinstraat (hoek Telegraafstraat) een slagerij/rokerij en woonhuis gebouwd.(36) Zijn zoon Bernardus is daar als slager aan de slag gegaan. Het pand staat nog steeds in de Tuinstraat op nr. 58.
Regina Martina Cornelia Dankers overleed op 15-1-1892 te Tilburg.
Johannes Cornelis de Brouwer is overleden op 3-3-1939 te Tilburg.
