Notes about Cornelis Goyaerts de Brouwer

Hij werd hoogstwaarschijnlijk omstreeks 1530 in Moergestel geboren. Hij was getrouwd met Henrikske de Cort, dochter van Jan Wouter en Marij.

Cornelis de Brouwer trad minder op de voorgrond dan zijn vader. Hij is wel lid geweest van het St. Jorisgilde in Moergestel.
Hij verwierf tijdens zijn leven een aanzienlijk bezit, voornamelijk in Moergestel, maar ook in Oisterwijk.
In 1562 kocht hij een "huijs, scuer, scop, hoff ende erffenisse"
de "stevensacker ende stevensweije" een akker in de Inslach, de looterspeeckse akker en de looterspeeckse weide, alles gelegen aan de Heikant in Moergestel. Over deze hoeve werd tot in de 17e eeuw gesproken als "Cornelis Goijaarts steede".
Zijn aanzienlijke bezit werd in 1583 onder zijn vijf zoons verdeeld. Vier van die zoons komen we later helemaal nergens meer tegen. Henrikske de Cort was toen ook al overleden.
