Hun tweede zoon Petrus (Pieter) wordt bijna 2 jaar na hun huwelijk te Loon op Zand geboren. Barbara sterft drie dagen later in het kraambed.
Op 15-11-1744 wordt te Oisterwijk Pieter Pieters en Peter Ariens Vermeer als voogden beedigd over de twee onmondige kinderen Cornelis en Pieter.
Piet Brabers blijft vijftien jaar ongehuwd te Loon op Zand: in 1758 hertrouwd hij in Loon op Zand met Jenneke Backers. Zijn broer Cornelis is als huwelijksgetuige aanwezig. Uit dit huwelijk zijn geen kinderen geboren.In 1763 overleed Jenneke en Piet overleed in 1781 op 77-jarige leeftijd.
