Xle Jan Baptist Cornelis Spapens (zv X-f)73 dagloner en schuinsmarcheerder,
werd in 1801 door Jacoba Libregts genoemd als
vader van haar onwettig kind.
Antonij Bakkers, Arnoldus van Gils en Jan Francis Reijnen, allen
wonende te Goirle verklaren echter ter requisitie van Jan dat zij op
St. Jans Onthoofding (kermis in Goirle) "zijnde geweest in september
des afgeloopen jaars in gezelschap van Adriaan Brokken
onder andere discoursen ook spreekende waren dat Jacoba Libregts
van Jan Spapens zoude swaar gaan".
Brokken zei toen echter meer dan eens "ook met dezelve Jacoba te
doen gehadt te hebben" zodat zij niet kon weten "van wie zij swaar
ging".

Tenslotte verklaart Jan Francis Reijnen nog afzonderlijk dat hij
Jacoba ook goed kent en "daermeede vriendelijk heeft omgegaan
zoodanig dat hij dezelve meer dan eens vleeschelijk heeft bekent".
