Hendrikus van Puijenbroek was fabrikant, gemeenteraadslid en lid van Gaudium Internus
Hendrik van Puijenbroek werd geboren te Goirle op 27 oktober 1845 als zoon van Adriaan van Puijenbroek en Adriana Cornelia Troeijen. Officiëel werd Hendrik op 1 juni 1865 oprichter van de firma H. van Puijenbroek. Zijn eerste transactie als linnenkoopman dateert echter van 26 mei 1865. Op de foto rechts de eerste vrouw van Hendrik, Joanna Wilhelmina Krapels, geboren te 's-Hertogenbosch op 20 oktober 1842 als onwettige dochter van Maria Theresia Krapels. Zij overleed te Goirle op 27 mei 1882. Hendrik hertrouwde te Goirle op 17 januari 1883 met Maria Martha van der Grinten, geboren te Helmond op 17 juli 1843 en in Goirle als onderwijzeres verbonden aan de r.k. bijzondere meisjesschool. Hendrik van Puijenbroek overleed te Tilburg, waar hij woonde aan de Stationsstraat, op 31 januari 1934.
