De volgende vermiste uit Goirle was Nicolaas Philipsen, gedoopt
te Goirle op 2 december 1792, zoon van landbouwer-gemeenteraadslid
Jan Philipsen en Pieternel van Erven.10 Ook hij wordt
niet meer genoemd na 1814, ook niet bij de erfscheiding van de
goederen van zijn vader. Genoemd worden wel zijn broer Michiel,
wonende te Tilburg, broer Cornelis te Riel en zijn zuster Helena
Maria, gehuwd met Adriaan Dijkmans, wonende in Goirle, Petronella,
gehuwd met Willem van Broekhoven te Hilvarenbeek, Johan-
na te Goirle en Antonia Maria met haar man Wilhelmus Mallens,
woonachtig in Tilburg.
Nicolaus werd vermist in het leger van Napoleon
