Hij was schipper en voerde tussen Rotterdam en Antwerpen, Bergen, Hamburg enz, In de 40 jaren ging
hij de grond op en hij leefde in Nieuwdorp tot hij stierf . Hij werkt een beetje in de landbouw
om een beetje extra te verdienen wand het schippers bedrijf was geen vet pot. Peter kan zich nog
goed herinneren dat hij altijd met zij schipperpet op liep.) (Op 28.02.1910 vertrekt het hele
gezin naar Kattendijke. En het trekt verder op 23.02.1915 naar Nieuwdorp. Met het hele gezin. In
huis was ook zijn schoonmoeder Maatje Nieuwenhuize geb.01 .01.1842 de weduwe van P.Sandee, zij is
overleden op 29.09.1929 Nieuwdorp.)
