Vermeld in het grafelijke register van de leengoederen te Maasland in 1282 komt jan van Coudenhoven voormet een tiende groot en klein genaamd de Elboutstiende. Deze tiende worden aan beide zijden beleend door de tienden die het geslacht van Warmond aldaar in leen houdt.
