Notes about Marcus Lourisz.

Molenaar (1652), wonende bij quadick in de Beemster. Emigratie uit Het Bildt naar de Beemster De
Bildtse boeren zelf hier geimmigreerd uit Holland en elders, leverden ook af en toe weer
emigranten, vooral voor nieuw ingepolderde gebieden en nieuw te ontginnen streken. Zodra was in
1612 in Holland niet de Beemster bedijkt, of 27 November 1613 lezen we reeds van Jan Walings en
Aaltie Pietersdr. e.l. van Het Bildt, doch althans wonende in de Beemster; ze hadden hun huis bij
Berlikum verkocht aan Claas Heeres te St. Anna Parochie, voor 800 ggld. En Mei 1615 droegen Otto
Hanskesz. en Geert Gerbrantsdr. e.l. te St. Jacobi Parochie, wegens vertrek naar de Beemster hun
zathe van 22.5 mg Oud-Billand met "huysinge, luttikhuys, coornberg c.a. over aan Cornelis Albarts
c.ux. te St Jacobi Parochie. En toen in 1622 ook de Purmer droog kwam, trok ook dat nieuwe land
Bildtkers tot zich. Zo lijkt het in ieder geval zo te zijn dat grotere groepen mensen wegtrokken
uit Het Bildt en naar de nieuwe droogmakerijen gingen zoals o.a. de Beemster en de Purmer.
Wellicht had dit ook met hun specifieke vakkennis te maken op het gebied van droogmaken,
dijkwerken, etc. Wat nog niet duidelijk is, wanneer is Louweres Merckes met zijn gezin naar de
beemster vertrokken. Uit de doopacte van Marcus Louweres weten we dat dit na Januari 1620 moet
zijn geweest en uit rekeningen van de waterschappen in de Beemster van 1638 blijkt dat dus voor
1638 te zijn geweest.
