22. Jan II heer van Egmond (alias: met de Bellen), geboren circa 1385, overleden op 04-01-1451, begraven te Egmond a/d Hoef (voor beschrijving van grafsteen zie Bloys en Belonje Kerken NH Deel III blz. 22), volgde in 1409 zijn vader als Heer van Egmond op. Droeg in de oorlog een gordel met zilveren bellen, kwam in conflict met Graaf Willem VI, later met Jacoba van Beieren, zijn slot IJsselstein werd geslecht in 1417. Hij diende de elect in Holland en werd na 1423 regent voor zijn zoon in het hertogdom Gelre, verwierf de heerlijkheid Leerdam in pand, bereikte in 1439 dat zijn heerlijkheid Egmond van het klooster werd afgescheiden. Gehuwd op 24-06-1409 met Maria van Arkel, overleden op 19-07-1415, dochter van Jan V heer van Arkel en Johanna van Gulik.
