14a. Mechtild van Mörsperg. Zij trouwde met Meginhard van Sponheim, (zoon van Stephan van Sponheim en Sophia (van Formbach)) ovl. 1136/45. Graaf van Sponheim en Mörsberg 1124/32, voogd van Sponheim 1126. Meginhards goederen zullen grotendeels door Mechtild die zover bekend geen broers had ingebracht zijn. Eén van de zoons van Meginhard en Mechtild was met zekerheid Gotefredus, comes de Sponheim, die in 1145 in een door koning Konrad III voor het klooster Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen opgestelde oorkonde de schenking van Illnau aan het klooster Allerheiligen bevestigt, zoals die door zijn vader, moeder en grootvader (graaf Adalbert) gedaan was (donationem patris et matris et avi).
