    In de middag bombardeerden 71 toestellen van de Royal Air Force (B25 Mitchells en A20 Bostons) dezelfde doelen. Vier Britse Squadrons, één Nederlands en één Frans Squadron namen hier aan deel.

    Door navigatiefouten, slecht zicht en in die tijd berperkte middelen kwam een groot aantal bommen rond de parkweg en de oude dorpskerk terecht.

    Hierbij kwamen 69 burgers om het leven, waaronder Willemina Alida Sukkel.
