*Hendrik liet bij zijn overlijden in 1925 een testament na waarin hij bepaalde ,dat uitsluitend de kinderen die bij zijn overlijden werkzaam waren in het bedrijf , gerechtigd zouden zijn om het bedrijf voort te zetten. Dit waren de zoons Hendrik Melis Gerrit en Derk.
Toen Hendrik ouder werd om het wagenmakersvak nog te kunnen uitoefenen , besloten de gebroeders Jansen om deze aktivieteit in hun bedrijf te likwideren.
