In einem Prozeß, den die ostfriesische Gräfin Theda 1467 gegen ihre Tanten Bawe Focken (Frau des Häuptlings Ewe Erikes aus Jemgum) und Ulske Focken (Frau des Unico Riperda aus Farmsum) um Familienschmuck und das Erbe ihres Großvaters Fokko Ukena führte, berichtet sie auch von "dem Hof zu Brae, den Focko gekauft und Idecke [dessen 2. Frau] dem Engelbertvon Langen gegeben hatte, um damit ihr Gold- und Silbergeschmeide einzulösen". Sie hatte also zuvor dem Herrn Engelbert von Langen Schmuck gegeben, offenbar um Kapital zu erhalten. Dies dürfte etwa um 1430 und 1435 gewesen sein; in dieser Zeit verlor Fokko Ukena die Macht als Herr Ostfrieslands" (Wolbert G.C.
