Er wird als Verordneter der Fleischhauergenannt und "ernehret sich geringer Holtz Kaufmannschaft" 1623 wird ihm zusammen mit anderen vorgeworfen, sich aufruehrerisch betaetigt zu haben, wird verhoert und verhaftet. 1625 muss er wg. seines reformierten Glaubens mit seiner Familie Rheine verlassen zusammen mit 27 der angesehensten und wohlhabendsten Buerger. Er kommt wieder nach Emden.
Mindestens 4 Soehne haben studiert.
