Notes about Heinrich III. Korff

urk. 1302-1317, 1302 Knappe, 1305 Ritter, Mitglied des bischöfl. münster. Rats, Lehnsmann des Bischofs von Münster, der Grafen von Ravensberg und Tecklenburg und der Edlen Herren zur Lippe, schenkte 1309 seinen allodialen Hof Syttelkamp samt dem auf dem Hofgelände erbauten festen Haus Harkotten dem Bistum Münster und erhielt es als Lehen zurück, bischöflich-münster. Rat, 1315 Fehde mit Otto IV Graf v. Ravensberg, bei der Otto gefangengenommen wurde, 1317 Inhaber des Gogerichts zu Warendorf, 1331 oberster Schiedsrichter bei Streitsachen zwischen Ravensberg und Münster, trat spater ins Kloster Marienfeld ein, besass äußerst umfangreichen Besitz von Bauernhöfen.
Als er verstorben war, fand man seine Lenden in eiserne Fesseln gegürtet.
