Ook: Aerns, Aertz, Arents en Aarnts. Nicolaas bouwde in 1790 "Het Oude Huis". Kocht in 1793 samen met zijn zwager Jan Derk van Geijn en met Willem Hoogveld de steenoven in Heteren, met een aantal uiterwaarden. Later bekent als de "Van Wijcks Waalsteenfabrieken". Klaas was zeer vermogend.
