In het lidmatenboek van Leusden over de periode 1820-1850 vinden we "Petronella Ter Maaten, op belijdenis gedaan te Woudenberg, overgeboekt 16.3.1823".
In 1850 wonen Pieternella Ter Maten en Gerrit van Essen in huis 66a te Leusden. Op de gezinskaart van 1860 wordt Pieternella na het overlijden van haar echtgenoot in 1868 genoemd als hoofd van het gezin, nu in huis nr 69a te Leusden.
