Geboren 16-9-1877, des avonds ten zeven ure, ten zijnen woonhuize D 19, een zoon van Elbert van den Brink, landbouwer, 31 jaar en Trijntje Doppenberg, 30 jaar, zonder beroep, wonende te Putten) (n.h.). Bron Bev. reg. Putten: 1877-1890, huis A 269, blad 345; Bron B.S. Putten: geboorteakte. Gerrit van den Brink kwam na het overlijden van zijn vader in september 1886 van huis D 19 te Putten, als "verpleegde" in het Weeshuis van Putten en ging op 27-5-1887 naar Nijmegen (Neerbosch).
