Carol J. Cooper, 76, Delavan, died Friday evening, Jan. 18, 2013, at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan.

The former Carol Jeanne Brandes was born on Jan. 14, 1937, in Burlington, the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Gill Brandes. She was a lifelong resident of the Pell Lake and Genoa City area before moving to Delavan. She formerly worked as an assembler for the Watlow-Gordon Co. in Richmond, Ill., for 14 years.

She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing cards and Bingo. She also enjoyed the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR.

Carol is survived by one daughter, Lori (Dan) Nevin, Delavan; three sons, Dale (Peggy) Cooper, Bohners Lake, David Cooper, Williams Bay, and Steve (Nancy) Cooper, Pell Lake; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth (Ernst) Kloppstein, Genoa City; and two stepbrothers, Norman (June) Brandes, Burlington; and John (Kim) Brandes, Bristol.

She was preceded in death by one son, Keith Arnold; three brothers, Donald, Kenneth and James Brandes; and her stepmother, Violet Brandes.
