    In 1641 stichtten franciscanen een statie in huis 'Mozes' aan de Jodenbreestraat. In 1680 werd het belendende pand 'Aäron' aangekocht. In 1691 kreeg men toestemming van het stadsbestuur voor de bouw van een kerk: de Mozes- en Aäronkerk. In 1841 werd de huidige kerk over de oude kerk gebouwd.
