Na zijn huwelijk met diens dochter Elisabeth blijft hij met zijn gezin op hetzelfde adres wonen als zijn schoonouders, en wel in de Heerestraat 169. In 1839 en in 1842 worden zij vermeld als wonend in het gehucht Oosthoven.
