Kinderen niet vermeld. Vrouwelijke tak.
Meta is opgegroeid met haar vier zussen in Bussum. Daar leerde ze, nog in de schoolbanken, Jan kennen. Later kregen ze verkering en beleefden een fijne tijd, onder andere met het zeilen op de Loosdrechtse plassen en vakantiereisjes naar de Ardennen. Deze onbezorgde tijd werd onderbroken door de oorlog en uitzending van Jan naar Indonesië. In de hongerwinter is Meta opgevangen in Friesland, wat voor haar levensreddend was. Na de oorlog traden zij in het huwelijk en vonden een woning aan de Herenstraat te Bussum. Ze werd daar heel actief in het verenigingsleven en was sociaal begaan met alle minder bedeelden. Ook was zij sportief, waarbij zwemmen, gymnastiek en natuurlijk de avondvierdaagse favoriet waren. De tennissport heeft zij tot op hoge leeftijd mogen uitoefenen. Toen de kinderen nog jong waren, werden de vakanties doorgebracht op Texel. Later kwamen de buitenlandse reizen in beeld, waar ze erg van kon genieten. Met de caravan op pad was voor haar een passie, waarbij vooral een bezoek aan de Moezel hoog scoorde. Ook kon ze erg genieten van haar tien kleinkinderen. Het feit dat ze steeds meer fysieke problemen ging ondervinden, kon zij moeilijk accepteren. Wij herinneren haar graag als een zorgzame moeder en zijn haar dankbaar voor. (Bron rouwkaart).
