Verklaring van sergeant L.H.M. Diecker 1940

Heden den 11 Juni verscheen voor mij, Kapitein van Buuren, G.J., ten deze bijgestaan door den 2de Luit. voor Alg.Dienst van Iterson, Mr. H.J.F. als secretaris, Diecker, Lambertus Hermanus Maria, sergeant Verbindingsafdeling I-8 R.I. Tengevolge de opdracht van den Commandant Veldleger (C.V.), mij verstrekt bij schrijven van den C.V., d.d. 6 Juni 1940, Sectie I en VIII, no.476 G., hoorde ik den sergeant Diecker L.H.M., welke mij verklaarde als volgt:

Ik was Commandant van de uitkijkposten Zacharias Anna en Karel Theodora op de Grebbeberg, alwaar ik op mijn post geweest ben tot den Eersten Pinksterdag (12 mei) ongeveer 15.00. De telefoonverbinding met C.-I-8 R.I. was verbroken en daarna ben ik weggegaan. Ik heb me daarna gemeld bij C.-I-8 R.I.
Omtrent de aan mij gestelde vragen betreffende verschillende vlaggen in of nabij het Ouwehands Dierenpark kan ik niets verklaren, aangezien ik daar niet in de buurt ben geweest en alleen iets van hooren zeggen heb door den sergt v.d. Born.
Over het algemeen is mij omtrent de verhalen over verraad persoonlijk niets gebleken. (zie laatste alinea)
Bij het licht worden op den 13 mei ben ik met C.-I-8 R.I. vanuit den Commandopost I-8 R.I. gegaan, waarna ik opdracht kreeg van den Majoor om bij 2-III-8 R.I. te gaan informeeren hoe daar de toestand was (Kapt.Maas). Bij de compagnie aangekomen was de Kapt. daar niet aanwezig, aangezien hij een sectie, die was teruggetrokken achterna was. Na de plaatselijke toestand opgekregen te hebben van een vaandrig van de compagnie, welke ik opschreef in mijn zakboekje ben ik teruggegaan om verslag uit tebrengen aan C.-I-8 R.I.
Hierbij ben ik gewond geraakt en aangekomen in de schuilkelder Commandopost I-8 R.I., vond ik C.-I-8 R.I. niet, daar die in het terrein was, zoodat ik hem mijn verslag niet heb kunnen mededeelen. In de schuilkelder trof ik den Kapitein Maas aan, dieook gewond was, waarbij zich later als gewonde voegde de soldaat Hendriks van 3-II-8 R.I.
De sergt. toegevoegd van I-8 R.I. heeft ons gewonden de eerste hulp verleend. Wij zijn in de schuilkelder, welke wij afgesloten hebben, blijven liggen van 2e Pinksterdag 's-morgens (13 mei) tot donderdag 's-morgens 16 mei, waarna wij, hoorende dat de oorlog was afgeloopen, uit de schuilkelder zijn gegaan en toen door een particuliere auto naar Arnhem zijn gebracht, alwaar ik in het Diaconessenhuis verder verpleegd ben.
Ik merk nog op, dat ik den Heer Ouwehand wel kende. Ik heb nooit iets onaangenaams met hem gehad, daar hij voor ons militairen altijd heel goed was. Omtrent zijn politieke overtuiging heb ik nooit iets gemerkt, noch dat hij voor een der partijen eenspeciale voorkeur had.
