Notes about Gerardus Lambertus Hogenkamp

We spreken over Overijssel, of beter Salland, medio 16de eeuw. Het was een woest en dunbevolkt gebied. De Volkstelling uit 1748 geeft aan dat Overijssel ca. 122.000 inwoners telde. Op de zandgronden van het middeleeuwse Salland was de buurtschap de kleinste zelfstandige rechtskring. Deze agrarische samenleving was georganiseerd rond de es (enk) en om de es lagen de gemeenschappelijke heide-bos-veen en weidegronden, de z.g. woeste gronden. Het geheel van es en woeste gronden werd een marke genoemd.

De bevolking was overwegend Nederlands Hervormd, de katholieken woonden verspreid in kleine enclaves, de bewoners van erve "op de Hon(d)shorst" gingen waarschijnlijk ten kerke te Raalte.

- Heino, zijn meeste gevallen gedoopt in statie Liederholthuis, kerkgegevens beginnen 1776
- Dalfsen, zijn meeste gevallen gedoopt in de statie Hoonhorst
- Ommen, zijn meeste gevallen gedoopt in de statie Vilsteren
- Wijhe, zijn meeste gevallen gedoopt in de statie Boerhaar, kerkgegevens beginnen 1716
- Olst, zijn meeste gevallen gedoopt in de statie Boskamp
- Diepenveen, zijn meeste gevallen gedoopt in de statie Colmschate
- Raalte, kerkgegevens beginnen 1756
