Gevangen genomen op 9 maart 1942. Gevangen gezeten in het: Reg No. 1 Branch Camp of Java Prisoners Of War, Camp 16904. Overleden: The 106 Logistic Hospital Isolation Branch in Rangoon, nadat hij op 20 november 1942 ziek werd.
In Japans krijgsgevangenschap, B.AOO Inf. KNIL, werkte hij aan de Birmaspoorweg.
