Jan Lodewijk Wünsch was timmerman-aannemer. Hij vroeg in 1908 een bouwvergunning aan voor de bouw van een woon-winkelhuis en een stenen loodsje aan de Dubbeldamseweg. Destijds had dit huis nr. 51 en 51 rood, iets later nummer 55 en 55* en na de hernummering in 1955 werd dit Dubbeldamseweg Zuid 83-85. Jan’s moeder woonde als weduwe H(endrik) Wünsch-Luijten van zeker 1910 tot 1913 op Dubbeldamseweg 51 (beneden). In 1921-22 was Jan Wünsch gevestigd aan Vest 34, in 1929-1930 woonde hij aan de Celebesstraat 80* en in 1938 met Wünsch en Dorland Aannemersbedrijf aan de Dubbeldamseweg 55*(rood of boven). Van 1938 tot 1949 woonden en werkten zeker ook twee of mogelijk drie dochters Wünsch op dit laatste adres. Als beroep wordt in het telefoonboek ‘naaister’ vermeld. Dochter Suzanne heeft tot haar dood in 2002 op Dubbeldamseweg 55 rood (boven) gewoond.
