Notes about Jacobus "Kobus" de Swart

Mijn opa heeft niet, of nauwelijks, contact gehouden met zijn familie. Van de kant van de familie de Swart weet ik dus, jammergenoeg, bijna niets! Mijn vader had, als kind, erg veel last van eczeem. De huisarts raadde zijn ouders aan om, zo mogelijk, te verhuizen van de kleigrond, naar de zandgrond.Dat is het voordeel van de spoorwegen: je kunt overplaatsing aanvragen. Dat hebben mijn opa en oma dus gedaan-eerste stop Nieuwerschans, tweede stop Apeldoorn, derde en laatste bestemming Zutphen. Het eczeem van papa ging inderdaad over!!
Zoals ik bij Leida al heb vermeld, bestond het gezin van zijn eigen zoon eigenlijk niet meer na zijn huwelijk met haar. De kinderen van Willie, waren belangrijker, dan die van zijn eigen zoon!
Jammer: Willie heeft zelfmoord gepleegd, Ronnie(de oudste) is overleden aan een overdosis drugs- hij pikte ook geld van opa en Leida.
Toen opa, alleen- Leida lag doodziek in Nijmegen- in een bejaardenhuis kwam, heeft hij zich waarschijnlijk(volgens Cobi zeker) gerealiseerd, dat hij verkeerde keuzes heeft gemaakt.
