Woonde te Delft van 1570 tot 1590 en te Den Haag vanaf 1591. In het jaar 1579 ontving hij het eerste privilege in Holland op de uitgaaf van een bijbel verleend. In 1582 was hij ordinaris drukker de Staten-Generaal en der Staten van Holland.. In die hoedanigheid drukte hij de Unie van Utrecht. {Wordt ook vermeld als Albrecht Cornelisz. van Leuningen}
