Het voorgenomen huwelijk van Bernardus Overbeek en Alida Krabbenbos werd afgekondigd op zondagen 5 en 12 april 1896.
Getuigen bij het huwelijk waren Barend Krabbenbos, oud 30 jaar, fabriekarbeider, broer van de bruid, Gerrit Lamers, oud 35 jaar, landbouwer, Gerrit Jan Hesselink, oud 69 jaar, landbouwer en Evert ten Hove, oud 58 jaar, fabriekarbeider, allen wonende te Hengelo.
Bernardus was weliswaar met verlof, maar nog niet uit de militaire dienst ontslagen, zodat hij de toestemming van zijn commandant nodig had om te mogen trouwen.

TOESTEMMING TOT HET AANGAAN VAN EEN HUWELIJK

Op grond der Beschikking van den Minister van Oorlog, dd. 11 April 1892, VIIe Afd. No. 72, verleent de commandeerende officier van opgemeld korps, namens den Minister van Oorlog bij deze toestemming tot het aangaan van een huwelijk aan den milicien Overbeek Bernardus der lichting van 1889, uit de gemeente Hengelo, provincie Overijssel.

De verlofganger wordt er aan herinnerd, dat hij, door het aangaan van een huwelijk, in geen geval wordt ontheven van het volbrengen der verplichtingen, welke hij krachtens de Militiewet heeft te vervullen, zoodat hij deswege ook niet zal worden vrijgesteld van den werkelijken dienst waartoe hij, voor herhalingsoefeningen of uit anderen hoofde, mocht worden opgeroepen.
AMERSFOORT, den 28 Maart 1896.

N.B. De Heer Burgemeester wordt beleefdelijk
