Volgens mij stamt de familie De Vaynes van Brakell Buys af van haar zuster Helene (1806-1889) die meen ik met de heer Buys was getrouwd.

Kapitein was H. le Clercq.
Aan boord was ook Mw. M.A. de Vaijnes van Brakell Buijs-Twiss, de eerste vrouw van Henry Coenrad Johannes. Hoogstwaarschijnlijk kenden de dames elkaar al.
De reis ging via Marseille, waar nog een aantal passagiers inscheepten.
