Mijn vader werd met zijn gezin overgeplaatst van Zevenhuizen naar Zutphen. Naar ik meen was dat in 1940. Zij gingen wonen aan de Weg naar Voorst nr. 19 G. Details t.a.v. termijnen weet ik niet. Ik weet, dat mijn vader tijdens de mobilisatie werd opgeroepen bij de Spoorwegtroepen. De tweede dochter in 1943 werd geboren en overleed in 1945. De woning van mijn ouders werd geconfiskeerd door de duitsers. Mijn moeder verbleef lange tijd met twee kinderen bij een boerenfamilie genaamd Bleumer te Voorst. De inboedel van de woning werd grotendeels vernield of ontvreemd. Kort na de oorlog zijn mijn ouders weer naar Hengelo vertrokken en kregen een woning aan de Spinnersweg 26 te Hengelo.Het derde kind , een dochtertje, overleed kort na de geboorte. Mei 1946. Een zware tijd . Ik zal nog een paar kiekjes bijvoegen van de woning aan de Weg naar Voorst 19G en mijn geboortehuis Spinnersweg 26 te Hengelo .
