Het bruidspaar, de beide moeders en de getuige Heeling konden niet schrijven.

* Dit was een regiment huzaren. Waarom Gijsbert hier in dienst ging en hoe hij daar terecht kwam is niet duidelijk. In ieder geval ontliep hij zo wel de loting voor de Nationale Militie in Nederland, wat hem 5 jaar had kunnen kosten. Nu was hij er in 13 maanden klaar mee.
