Het voorgenomen huwelijk van Jan Hendrik Busschers en Willemina ter Heege werd afgekondigd op 11 en 18 oktober 1818.
Blijkens een certificaat van de heer Gouverneur van de provintie Overijssel had Jan Hendrik aan zijn verplichtingen ten aanzien van de Landsmilitie voldaan. Tevens werd een doodsextract overlegd, inhoudende het overlijden van de vader van de bruid en een bewijs van overlijden van de eertste echtgenoot van de bruid.
Na voorlezing van de bovengenoemde stukken en het 6e hoofddeel van het burgerlijk wetboek over de huwelijken werd het huwelijk voltrokken in aanwezigheid van de ouders van de bruidegom en de moeder van de bruid, die alle drie hun toestemming gaven tot het aangaan van dit huwelijk.
Getuigen waren Hermen Hesselink, oud 51 jaar, deurwaarder, wonende te Enschede, Hendrik Nijhuis, oud 38 jaar, wonende onder Haaksbergen, Gerrit Nijhuis, oud 52 jaar, wonende te Lonneker en Bernardus Kamp, oud 28 jaar, wonende te Usselo. De laatste 3 allen landbouwers.
De bruid en haar moeder verklaarden het schrijven niet te hebben geleerd.
