Notes about Melchior BOEY

Melchior BOEY. Ce dernier était le fils de Henri BOEY et de sa seconde union avec Anna Magnus. Melchior BOEY né aux alentours de 1590, fut inhumé au chœur de l'église de Hingene quelques jours après son décès sur- venu le 17.02.1647. Pendant 16 ans il exerça la fonction d'échevin d'Hingene de 1629 à 1644 et celle aussi de censitaire de la cour censale de Saint-Rombaut à Malines en 1631. Lors de son mariage à Hingene le 16.10.1622, l'acte le référence ainsi : Melchior van BODE prenant pour épouse Maria de Wachter (inhumée également au chœur de l'église d'Hingene quelques jours après son décès survenu le 30.05.1647). Elle était la fille d'un échevin de Hingene, 27 ans durant, de 1587 à 1614 - Gillis de Wachter et de Maria Seps, tous deux également inhumés au chœur de l'église d'Hingene. Les témoins lors de la cérémonie solennelle de Melchior et Maria furent : Egidius BOEY, frère de Melchior, marié à la sœur de Maria, Anna de son prénom. L'autre témoin est le père de la mariée Egidius de Wachter. Un troisième témoin figure sur l'acte en la personne de Michaël BODE (sic dans le texte) qu'on cite bien plus tard le 02.03.1650 comme habitant de Weert, situé à moins de 10 km de Hingene (Notariat Gerard van Passchen n° 1386).
