Notes about Roelof (Reinders) Prijs

Vermeld in 1670. Keurnoot in 1698 en 1704. Lidmaat van de kerk van Hoogeveen sinds 25 december 1689. Hij werd in 1692 gekozen als diaken en werd in 1699 ouderling. Bij de laatste benoeming werd hij Roelof Reinders d'Oude genoemd. Hij betaalde in de Goedschatting van 1694/5 naar 500 gulden. We kennen twee huwelijken. Hij trouwde oktober 1687 te Hoogeveen als jongeman van Hoogeveen met Geertruid Kamerling, jongedochter van Ruinen. Ze vertrokken daarna met attestatie, maar hij kwam na enige jaren terug. In mei 1703 trouwde hij als weduwnaar op 't Hoogeveen met Jantjen Willems, jongedochter van Almelo. Ze werd Pasen 1706 (4 april) aangenomen als lidmaat van de kerk, als "Jantjen Willems, weduwe van Roelof Reiners de Oude". Hij is dus kort na zijn tweede huwelijk overleden. Kinderen uit zijn eerste huwelijk zijn niet bekend. Uit zijn tweede huwelijk is een "nakind", geboren na zijn overlijden: Geertruijt Reijnders, waarschijnlijk gedoopt in augustus 1703. Ze wordt nog vermeld in een schuldvordering, op 20 juni 1726.
